The following are a list of guidelines that will enable everyone to have a good experience when using this site. Please note that some of the guidelines are actually parts of the User Agreement. Your acceptance of the User Agreement is required to utilize this site.

 

  • This site will be used only for the purpose in which it was intended.

  • The users of this site will communicate all relevant information regarding the sale of advertised items and expectations to the best of their ability.

  • The publishing of inappropriate content is prohibited.

  • To respect the privacy of all users of this site.

  • To provide accurate information.

  • To disclose any known advertisement defects.

  • Items advertised on this site will be in overall good clean condition.

  • Users of this site will correspond with each in a courteous manner.

  • Advertising recalled items is not allowed. Advertising car seats is further not allowed because of the strict safety guidelines. We don't want anyone to accidentally get hurt.

  • To prevent any confusion, please delete your advertisement after it has sold. Otherwise, it may be listed for the entire 6 months.

  • Occasionally, there may be site interruptions or delays. However, we will make corrections as soon as possible.

  • This is an advertising forum. Please use discretion when discussing personal information as you would any other classified ad.

  • The User Agreement has been reviewed and accepted and it is understood that eBabyConsignment.com is released from any liability, of any nature.

We at eBabyConsignment.com, reserve the right, at our discretion, to remove any user from this site that does not abide by these guidelines or the User Agreement.

~ WHAT TO HAVE READY TO POST YOUR AD ~

During the registration process you will be prompted for certain information. In order to make this process easier you may want to have the following information ready:


 

  • Item Name - Catchy Title

  • Manufacturer Name

  • Item Description Short & Long Versions (The short description appears on the results page. The long description appears on your product description page.

  • Item Condition - Noting any blemishes or damage.

  • Dimensions (For shipping purposes) - It is optional to note the shipping box length, width, and height. The item weight is also requested, or you can discuss shipping specifics at the time of purchase.

  • Pictures - You can upload as many as three images of your item. They must be a GIF or JPEG file type to be accepted.

~ NEW MEMBER REGISTRATION &

POSTING YOUR INITIAL AD ~

  • Step 1 - Registration: Please complete all required fields noted with an asterisks. You will be prompted for your contact information.You will also create a username and password. Please note your username. The password can be retrieved, however, you will need your username to do so. The username cannot be retrieved.

  • Step 2 - Product Description: You will then be prompted to enter information about your advertisement and upload your images. Acceptable images are GIF, JPG, or JPEG.

  • Step 3 - Becoming a Member: After your contact information and advertisement information have been accepted, you will then be prompted for payment to activate your initial ad. Eventually, there will be a $4.00 posting fee through Pay Pal required during this part of the process. Once the fee has been accepted, you will then return to the site to log in. Please note it may take a few minutes to process your payment and update your log in information. You can then create additional advertisements via the "Add & Delete" options on your "Listings" page.

~ REGISTERED MEMBER LISTINGS ~

Once you have become a member...


 

  • You will log in via the log in box in the upper right hand corner.

  • From there you will come to your "Listings" page. You will be able to "Add, Edit, or Delete" your advertisements. ***Please be careful not to accidentally delete your advertisement. Advertisements cannot be restored once they have been deleted and all the data will have to be reentered.***

  • If someone is interested in your advertisement, they will contact you via email. There is a "Contact Seller" option on the "Product Description" page. Please respond to your inquiries within 3 days from receipt of the email.

  • After you have sold your item(s), please delete it from the site. This will prevent potential buyers from inquiring about older ads and lessen any confusion. Otherwise, your advertisement will run for 6 months.

  • You will want to make sure all shipping information is discussed i.e. cost, insurance, method, tracking numbers, and estimated time of arrival.

  • Please be sure to thoroughly review the required User Agreement and Etiquette section of this site for terms of use when working with potential buyers regarding the sale of your item.

~ SEARCHING FOR AN ITEM ~

There are 2 ways to search for items on this site...


 

  • The column on the left side is a broad general search option. By clicking on the categories, your results should be everything currently being sold within that category.

  • The center search engine is a more specific search option. You can select a category with subcategory and elect to view advertisements only within your area.

~ THE BUYING PROCESS & CONTACTING THE SELLER ~

Once you have found an item you are interested in...


 

  • You will be able to send an inquiry via email to the seller. There is a "Contact Seller" link on the advertisement page that will allow you to send an email directly to the seller to make arrangements to purchase the item (similar to a classified ad). ***Please note that the purchase of all items is directly coordinated between the seller and the buyer and not via this website.***

  • Once your inquiry has been sent to the seller, the seller should contact you within (3) days regarding their advertisement (unless otherwise noted). Please be advised it is your responsibility to practice prudent judgment when making arrangements to purchase an item, as you would from any classified advertisement. Some points of inquiry should include, but not limited to;

        1. Condition of the item

        1. Shipping arrangements, estimated time of delivery, fee's, and insurance

        2. Dimensions of the item for shipping purposes (height, weight, width, and length)

        3. Manufacturer information and recalls.
  • There is a Pay Pal link on the "Product Description" page that will take you to their site so you may have a secured financial transaction. We are not liable for any of your personal or financial information. While most of the members of this site are honest parents, using the site they way it was intended, it is still good to be cautious. Please practice prudent judgment as you would with any classified ad. We recommend you use a third party administrator to transact your purchase. You may choose whichever one you like. Pay Pal is included as a link should you choose to utilize their company. ***Please see our User Agreement regarding personal and financial information. ***

Please understand that from time to time errors and problems can occur which may cause our site to be temporarily unavailable. We will do everything we can to remedy these problems as we become aware of them. Please contact us if you have a concern and we'll work to resolve it as soon as possible. However, we are not liable for any loss due to site or network trouble, delays, or errors. Please refer to our User Agreement regarding this matter.

Should a dispute occur, please see the below dispute resolution guidelines...


 

  • To make an attempt to personally rectify any disputes by contacting the party involved via phone, mail, or email and to date and document the outcome.

  • To utilize any resources available to rectify the dispute such as, but not limited to, shipping insurance or third party administrator dispute settlement procedures.

  • Contact eBabyConsignment.com to inform us of the dispute for member removal consideration. Three or more complaints involving a seller may result in a seller being banned from this website.

Users of this website agree to prevent disputes from occurring by providing the most accurate timely information available. Users of this website agree to release eBabyConsignment.com from any liability arising from user disputes.
